Separate and distant. That’s how, at first sight, the worlds of sports and politics appear. However, we cannot help but note that there are many values which are common to both worlds: from fair play – at least in theory – to the prevailing of the best, be it the talented athlete or the most effective political program. Here are some examples of sports legends struggling to become political leaders in arenas often exulting less loudly than stadiums.
